Tombstones found in yard
Hi all Koontz family members.
This is an article in the 9/7/04 Northern Virginia Journal.
"Manassas Park officers responding to a house alarm Saturday found two tombstone markers in the back yard.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Lambert Drive at 5:39p.m. and while searching the property, found the markers near the rear of the home, police said. One marker is inscribed: J.W. Wycoff, DOB 6/26/1836. DOA 2.26.1914, VA Regiment CO D Gen. Huntens Brigade. The second reads: Wife of A. F. Koontz, died Oct. 23, 1892, 10 years, 8 months, 15 days. Anyone with information about the stones or where they belong is asked to call Cpl. K. Hampton at 703-361-1136."
I am quoting the newspaper article. There could have been a type-0 concerning Mrs. Koontz's age.
Please call them if you know where these stones belong.
Kindest Regards,
Judy Harding
