Not sure if anyone's going to read this... I see that the post has been up for years... I was researching the name Jacob Koons from around the year 1878 and came across it. I am a vintage collector, reseller... I came across a a "first national bank" check from March 30th. 1878 that was written out to Jacob Koons for forty seven dollars and 36 cents... Thought it was interesting when I came across your post
