The Daily News Dealer May 23 1892 Page 3 col 2 Boy Lost Chief of Police Keating has recieved the following and it will explain itself: Allentown PA May 20 1892 Dear Sir--Please watch for Roscoe B Koons of Allentown PA who left his home May 15 and was seen last at Easton, PA Wednesday May 28. He is 11 1/2 years old, not too tall for his age but well built. Complexion fair, freckles over nose and forehead and light or grey eyes. Has large front teeth and a few small silver fillings can be found on careful inspection. He wears a fairly large black straw hat, a good suit of light brown check (now no doubt much soiled) knee pants, an outing shirt much too large for him and black stockings. Having come to Easton by Canal boat, he most likely continues traveling that way, having made friends with a boatman. He is good looking and bright, is a smooth talker. Don't allow him to get off with ready, straight forward answers, Hold onto him until identified, He has thus far decieved officers by simple and sharp, but untruthful statements. Chief of Police Gift, Allentown PA P.S. His coat collar and the band of his pants have sewed on the inside the maker's name and address viz: W J Frederick & Co. Allentown, PA I am not related & have no other information Notify Administrator about this message?
