I have just this weekend begun tracing my family tree. What I have learned in just that short time is this: Amander Koonce was my great-great grandfather. I'm still researching, but he had a son named Phillip (Phillip Harold I think) who was married to Martha Jacobs. They had several children (my dad only named six total but I've seen 2 other girls mentioned and haven't had a chance to question my dad again). Their oldest son was Odis, their second son was Murrow Melton (my grandfather). He was born in 1892 in Hemphill, Tx (I think all of Phillip and Martha's children were born there) and died in 1936 in Louisiana. My dad, William Edward was born in 1921. As to the other children of Christopher Koonce, I have no clue.
