My name is Herbert Blackman Sparks, Jr. This was my great-great grandfather, I think, but he lived (or at least died) at Normandy, TN. He is buried, along with his brother, T. J. "Tom" and his family, at Shofner's Lutheran Church. "B" Koonce had a daughter, Bettye, who married Mose Cruse. Their daughter, Ida, married Sid Sparks. My grandmother named my father after 2 of her brothers, Herbert Cruse, and Jacob Blackman Cruse. Herbert died in the 1930's, and Uncle Jake moved to Fayetteville, AR. I met him as a child. There were 13 siblings of my grandmother, and most were in the middle Tennessee area. Aunt Lydia moved to Brimingham, Uncle Oscar may have lived in Nashville.
"B"'s tombstone does not say "Rufus" or "Blackman." Only "B." Are we related?
