"Paul Koob was born November 24, 1941, in Iona, MN to Hilary and Loretta Scheuring Koob. He grew up in Iona and graduated from St. Columba High School. He then graduated from Indiana Technical College with a degree in engineering. Paul then moved to Sacramento, CA, and worked there for a few years then moved to Los Angeles and went to work as an engineer for the TRW Co. He worked there until ten years ago when he had cancer surgery. Paul has worked on and off again since at TRW and worked there for over 23 years. He has been hospitalized at Torrence Memorial Hospital and passed away there on August 4, 1995, at the age of 53. He was a member of American Martyr Catholic Church at Manhattan Beach, CA. He enjoyed walking, swimming, biking, carpentry work, skiing and camping. Paul also enjoyed maintaining several rental homes. Survivors include his parents, Hilary and Loretta Koob of Slayton; five brothers and sisters and their spouses, Steve and Vivian Koob of Dayton, Ohio, Dan and Bettina Koob of New York, NY, Richard Koob of Pahoa, HI, Mary Jane Koob of Honolulu, HI and Elizabeth Koob of New York, NY; 14 nephews and nieces and one great nephew.

A Memorial Mass was held in Manhattan Beach, CA at the American Martyr Church. Burial will be at St. Columba Cemetery, Iona, MN."
