Kathy,

Can't tell you much about his wife other than what I posted.

Charles/Carl was a Civil War veteran as a member of the 41st New York Infantry and later in the 9th New York Independent Battery (light artillery). The 9th NY Ind Btty was composed of men who had originally joined the 41st NY Inf.

If you need any information of a family nature you can send away to the National Archives in DC for his pension records (if he applied for a pension as most did).
