My Kohn family (with the umlat over the o) My Kohn family - with the umlat over the o, came to the US (state of Kansas) in 1869 from Doelitz, Pyritz, Pommerania, Prussia. The family was also part of the Zabel, Wahl and other families in that area, and friends with the Gruezmacher (sp) family in Pottawatomie county, Kansas who came from Prussia also. I have a list from the town of Doelitz showing the number of Kohn family members killed in WWI which is interesting. Some of the family I believe also lived in Teschendorf, but I would have to go back through records to find this. Parts of the Wahl and Zabel families continued to come to the US in Kansas in early 1900s also. The Kohn and Zabel families were intermarried starting back in the late 1700s.

Does this come close to your Kohn family? Many thanks!
