I am looking for others researching the following Koehler family:
1860 Bond County, Illinois:
John COOLER, laborer in household of Sarah WATKINS, age 15, born in Switzerland.
Elisabeth COOLER age 15, born Illinois, in household of John HEIM (John HEIM of BADEN married a Margaret KEYLER 8-7-1855 in Bond County acc. to Illinois Statewide Marriage Recs online)
Anna COOLER, age 17 born in Hannover, in household of A. GULLILCK,
Barbary COOLER, ae 21, born Switzerland, servant in the household of J. F. ALEXANDER.
Estate record index of Bond County shows the following:
J. KOEHLER, John L. HEIM Guardian in 1859.
I found a family in Switzerland that seems to track these names closely, but of course, some of the above don't say Switzerland. Still, I think we're dealing with a family of siblings, and depending on who gave the information on the census, the differences in birthplaces might not be quite right.
