MRS. SARAH J. KOGER was born in Green County, Indiana, April 7, l835, and passed away at the home of her daughter, MRS. A.C. BONSER, at Bethany, Mo., on March l2, l922, at the age of 86 years, ll months and 5 days.
MRS. KOGER was for many years a resident of Albany, Mo., being married to a man named CULP, and of the children born to them, three are living, JOHN W. CULP and MRS. A.C. BONSOR, of Bethany, Mo., and MRS. EMMA CARTER, of Amarilla, Texas.After the death of her husband, MRS. CULP was married to JONATHAN BRANHAM, of Albany, Mo., and for many years they conducted the old Missouri Hotel in that city.Of the children born to them, only one survives, JOSEPH L. BRANHAM, of St. Joe., Mo.Some years after the death of MR. BRANHAM, she was married to JORDAN KOGER, of Leon, where she made her home until a couple of years ago, when her advanced age made it advisable for her to go to Bethany to make her home with her daughter, MRS. BONSER.All of her children were in attendance at her funeral.
She is survived by two brothers, JOHN F. MULINIX, of Richmond, Mo., and HENRY Y. MULINIX, of Union Star, Mo., both of whom on account of their advanced age were unable to attend her funeral.
Funeral services were conducted at the Bethany Christian Church by the Pastor, Rev. C.V. Pearce, and her body was brought to Leon for interment in the Leon Cemetery.
