Hello to all doing research on the Kopke family. I know I have been in contact with a couple of you in my own past research. My branch of the Kopke family (with an umlaut over the "o", or spelled Koepke) emigrated from Mecklenburg-Schwerin Germany to Dundee, Monroe County, Michigan. Mandy mentions in her message Thurkow, Germany which is a village in Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Any questions or comments, please feel free to let me know. I should mention, my connection to the Kopke family is through my great great grandfather Henry Charles Libstaff (Heinrich Karl Luebstorff) who was married to Wilhelmina Dorothea Frederika Kopke. I believe Henry Charles was born in the 1850's. If anyone has any information regarding this family, please let me know! Kristofer
