My family has looked LONG and hard to find my great grandmother's family.
Her name was Stephany Koenig or Tepes(sp). She says her parents were Wilhelmina Lukan and William or Valentine. She had a step-sister named Evelyn Koenig who married a Dubic. Stephany and Evelyn were born in Croatia, as were Evelyn's daughters Ruzica (Rosalee) and Miraca (Mira) Dubic. Both daughters came to the states, as did Stephany. Evelyn it appears stayed behind.
Stephany's step-brothers (known) were Edward (killed by lightning we were told) and August Koenig.
Edward, we were also told, immigrated, changed his name to King and had five sons who formed a music group called The Five Kings. They played on the radio; I believe it was instrumental. They lived in Wisconsin, we were told. Milwaukee and Sheboygan keep coming up in our research, but nothing solid yet.
And that's all I know.
Surely somebody out there is related!
