Hi,
According to his death certificate, of which I have a copy, it says that he was born in Germany, there's no other information regarding his birth. I had been unable to find him in the 1880 census records but did find him in the 1900 census as living at the same address listed on the certificate, 406 N. Robey Street. That is also the address listed when he registered to vote in 1892 I believe and is also the same address listed on his wife's death certificate.
I would imagine that from researching other names on my mother's side, that Wuerttenburg, Germany is the most likely place of his birth. If you have any other information I would greatly appreciate it.
