Any information on Konig/Koenig family in Germany would be appreciated as well as any stories about reasons for coming to America as a number seem to have come from Baden over quite a period of time.

For those looking for early Konig/Koenig immigrants, several are listed in the Palatine Immigration records. Several listed as from Baden; others no place of origin indicated.

I found the following ones with the ship and year of arrival in Philadelphia. Some also have ages listed.

Ludwig Konig--Baden--"Chesterfield", 1740.
Jacob, Christian and Samuel Konig, "Muscliffe", 1744.
Johann Michael Konig, "Edinburgh", 1749.
Hans Konig, "Brotherhood", 1750.
Jacob Konig age 22 to Berks County from Baden, "Osgood", 1750.

Matheus and Jacob Konig, "Janet", 1751.
Johann Nicolaus Konig, age 45, also Maria Margaretha (Stuber), Gottfried 24, Johann Peter 21, Anna Elisabeth 15, Philipp Jacob 13, Johann Wilhelm 7, Maria Barbara 2 from Edenkoben, Bayern or Baden to Chester PA, "Ketty Snow". 1752.

Johann Daniel Konig, "Polly", 1764,
Christel Konig, "Sarah", 1764
