Joseph,
Well as a matter of fact it has helped someone!
My Koens are the same family as yours, only
I descend from the Daniel Koen Sr. who moved
to middle Tn. late 1700s. He and his wife Grace
had a daughter named Lovey b 1770s. She married
into another Pasquotank Co.,N.C.. family, the
Jacksons and they lived in Nashville, Davidson
Co., Tn. and while I was looking around the
County website, under the cemetarys was listed
the Wesley Jackson Cemetary and guess where it
was?? It is located on TEMPLE Ridge Road
and today I was thinking about the significance
of the word TEMPLE and now I know it was a surname. A whole group of people moved to midlle
Tn. from Pasquotank Co., N.C.. They lived in
Davidson (Nashville) with Williamson Co, being
formed in 1799 and the County line being right
in the midst of their properties.
My 4th GGrandmother Lovie Koen Jackson who
died around 1860 is believed buried there as there are only 3 graves and 6 loose fieldstones.
One of the marked graves is Wesley Jacksons,
who I believe is her son.
Thanks
Sandy
