John G. Koehler, 88, Chatsworth, died at Fairbury hospital at 12:25 a.m. March 13. He had been a patient there several months.
He was taken to Culkin Memorial Home in Chatsworth, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, march 15. Rev. Carl B. Fox will officiate. Burial will be in Chatsworth cemetery.
He was born in Chatsworth township March 22, 1885, a son of Gustavous and Anna Koestner Koehler.
He is survived by three brothers, Clair E. Koehler, New Port Richey, Fla; Phil A. Koehler, Gibson City; and Gerald Koehler, Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
He was a member of the East Brenton Presbyterian church. He was 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge and Past Patron O.E.S., a charter member of the Farm Bureau and past director of Citizens Bank of Chatsworth.
He was a school teacher and a farmer. He never married.
Masonic rites will be held at 8 p.m., March 14, at Culkin Memorial Home.
