KNUTH, Lucy from Iowa

Hi again.I went to the library yesterday, looking up census records for Knuths (I'm searching for Knuth's also).
As I mentioend previously, there are a lot of Knuths in Custer County, CO.I thought I remembered my grandmother mentioning the Erps too, but didn't want to say anything until I could check.
There were several families of Erps living in Custer County also.
1910 census shows:
Peter Erps, 25, single, born in Colorado.Working as a servant for the Menzel family.POB of his parents were Germany.
Also nearby were:
Lizzie Knuth (head of house)
William (son)
Herbert
Hermann
Ernest
Also nearby were
John Knuth 74, born in Germany (Parents too)
Lizzie Knuth, 72 (born Colo) (parents Germ)
Also living with them was John Walke and John
Walke Jr.Not clear what relation John is to them...possibly son-in-law
Next to them was:
William Knuth, 72 (born Germ--parents too)
Stina 77 wife (born Germ-parents too)
Living with them was Lewis Koch-grandson, 8,
born Colo-father born Germ-Mother in Colorado
(I have records showing a marriage between Koch and Knuth family).
two houses from them were:
John Erps, 56, born Germ--both parents too
Annah (wife), 49, born Germ-both parents Germ
August (son), 26, born Colo--parents Germ
John son, 20, born Colo, parents Germ
Lewis, son, 18, born Colo, parents Germ
Ella (daught) 16, born Colo, parents Germ
Emma (daught) 12, born Colo, parents Germ
Walter, son, 9, born Colo, parents, Germ
Fred, son, 5, born Colo, parents, Germ
Also there in Custer County was:
John Knuth 25 born Colo, POB Father Ill-POB MO Wales.
Rose (my grandmother's sister--maiden name was DeGre--changed to Degree), 19, Born Colo, both parents born Canada
There were many German families in Custer County, beginning around 1870 or so....the Knuths were there as early as 1870
In fact, one of the Knuth girls, Mollie, was the first white baby born in Custer County. There were also the following German families there:Eickleman, Voss, Vahldick, Menzel, Lange, Mueller, Miller, Elder, Kiesler, Elsie, etc. There was a German settlement, a French Settlement and an English settlement in the Wet Mountain Valley. Many of the descendents still live there. What time frame are you speaking of for Peter Erps and Lucy Knuth...although Lucy doesn't appear in 1910, she may be a descendent of theirs I haven't found yet.I checked Colorado marriage records for Erps and I found no record for Peter, but I found a few others if you need the info.
