James Knox (m. Hannah McFalls) would have been 81 in 1842 if he was born 1761 of course. So many things are messed up by families who are not sure, or by misinterpretations. I have not found anything indicating that this James was in the Revolutionary War. Regarding "Ann" Knox... That tombstone does belong to Elizabeth Ann Gaston Knox, wife of John Knox, son of Sara Knox and James (John?) Knox. Ann Knox is in grave site 6GE. Also buried in grave site 6GE are James Knox and wife, Hannah McFalls Knox. Buried in grave site 6FE are Sarah (the Matriarch), her son, Samuel, b. 1730 d. 1800. In grave plot 5FE are buried John Knox (son of Sarah Knox and husband of Elizabeth Ann Gaston Knox) d. 27 Jun 1777, age 55 years (b. 1722)and his son, Samuel Knox d. 10 Mar 1833, age 70 (b. 1763)and wife, Agnes "Nancy" Hannah Knox d. 23 Sept 1843, age 77 (b. 1766), with daughters, Nancy Knox d. 4 Nov 1839, age 35 (b. 30 Sept 1805), Mary Knox d. 4 Sept 1835, age 35 years (b.28 Oct 1800), and Jane Hannah Knox d. 22 Sept 1840, age 38 years (b.19 Aug 1808 although the tombstone indicates 1802). In site 1FE are Margaret B. Knox d. 5 Jun 1842, age 43 (b.1799)and daughter, Nancy E. d. 2 Sept 1838, age 18 (b. 1820). I believe Margaret B. Knox was Matthew Knox's daughter or granddaughter. Don't know this one for sure. Matthew, son of Sarah Knox, had a daughter named Margaret. If this Margaret was born in 1799, Matthew would have been 63 at her birth.
