Hi Deb,
I'm sorry it has taken so long for me to get back at this information gathering. I have recently visited my aunt in Saskatchewan, who has begun some investigation on the family tree, but has not been able to get back past about 1850.

So far, she has not found Richard but I will offer what I have.
My great great grandfather was William Knowlson, who married Elizabeth Binks in 1850 - Borrowby, Thirsk.
My great grandfather was John Knowlson, who married Mary Ann Paylor. They had 9 children, the second youngest was my grandfather, Ernest, who immigrated to Canada after WW II, married to Edith Dean. My father is John Dean Knowlson, who lives in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan.
One other exciting thing for me! Since I first contacted you, I have returned to my maiden name and delight in having 'Knowlson' back!!!!
Looking forward to hearing from you!
