One of the stories he always heard was John knowles father found some indians living on his land and johns mother had passed so the old indian man said he had seen that the woman had passed so he told him that he would send sarah to work for him so she would go up to the house everyday and that is how john and sarah came to be the indian man said that he was leaving so sarah stayed and the old man indian and the other daughter left and sarah and john became married if i have the story correct. Lawrence my father in law knows so much from just hearing everyone talking!
