Hello Mr. Morris, I'm Freddy Knowles of Flomaton Al. which was part of Pollard Al. untill the town of Flomaton was established and Incorporated.I read your post and did some quick reseach on the names you posted and find that you are for a fact a descendant of the James and Sarah Knowles Family of Covington Cty. Al. per 1830 Census, Conecuh Cty. Al. per 1850 Census.There was four Andrew Jackson Knowles,s pretaining to this family in the 1800s'.Your ancestor was the first born of James and Sarah Knowles in 1822 and the father of William Marion.The second A.J. was born in 1852 and he was the son of Daniel G. b. abt.1828 the second son of James and Sarah Knowles.In other words he was the first Andrew Jackson Knowles,s Nephew.This A.J. married a young lady that was 1/2 Indian named Racheal Mathilda Keebler from Butler Cty. Al. and they were my G Grand Parents.In 1861 the first A.J. had a land claim granted for 360 acres of land in Pollard, Escambia Cty. Al. which is now in the city limits of Flomaton.That same year his wife Nancy gave birth to the third A.J. which was the father of Robert Marion which is the Grandfather of BJ that had the first reply to your post.The fourth A.J. was born in 1878 and was the son of A.J. junior and Robert Marion's brother. Heres some links to William Marion and Daisy Bell and thanks for letting us know that w.m.
