Knofts and Kanoffs of Sussex County, NJ 1700's

I am wondering if Knouff may be a variation of these names?

3 sisters? Who were they and who were their parents?
New Jersey Marriages, 1684 to 1895
Wife: DERNETHA KNOFTS
Husband: DAVID CUTCHOLEN
Marriage: 6 Nov 1796 - Sussex, NJ

Wife: MARY KNOFTS
Husband: ABRAHAM FINEKBONAN
Marriage: 25 Oct 1796 - Sussex, NJ

Wife: CATHARINA KNOFTS
Husband: EARNEST MAN
Marriage: 1 Mar 1797 - Sussex, NJ
Dodd, Jordan, Liahona Research, comp. New Jersey Marriages, 1684-1895

Then there is this family. I think they may bee related to the above girls.

Descendants of John Kanoff
Generation No. 1

1. JOHN1 KANOFF died 1775 in New Jersey. He married JULIANNA CATHERINE KLIE KLEE. She was born 1711 in Rhineland, Palatine, Germany.

Notes for JOHN KANOFF:
Is Goss/Cass/Couse all the same name?

http://www.sussexcountyhistory.org/pascal/snookbio.html

Juliana Catherine Klee was first the wife of Johannas KNAUF and at least one son is known, John KNAUF. John "KNOFF" died in Sussex County in 1799 and Casper SNOOK and Peter KLECKNER were named Administrators of his estate, along with his wife Margaret (824S - b. 38, p. 508. Int. & Inv. 1799). The conclusion could be drawn that John Kanoff and Casper Snook were those named in "More Palatine Families" by Henry Jones, Jr. and were half brothers and that the John SNUKE who died in Sussex Co., NJ in 1775 was the same John SCHNUCH who was the husband of Juliana Catherine Klee. Additional information supporting my assertion that this is the same family is that a PETER SNOOK is listed as one of the executors of Casper's will. It is my belief that this Peter is Casper's brother. Peter Snook who married Maria Goss, named one of his sons Casper.
