Elizabeth Knotts, wife of Joseph Jaggers was from Beaghall, England. Joseph and three of his children emigrated to the USA. Joseph died at sea leaving the three siblings to continue the journey. At least one of the boys became a Mormon. The daughter,Mary Elizabeth Jaggers is my ancester and we kknow her history. There was rumor that Elizabeth Knotts was of royal heritage. We do not know why she did not come...even perhaps that she had died. If anyone knows about this English line of the Knotts family, please share that information.
