I don't have much additional information on any descendants of Godfrey. I do have a portion of the will of Johannes Knopsnyder written 10 March 1795, which mentions his wife Hannah and their child who was not named. I have always presumed this unnamed child to be Godfrey. Johannes was previously married to a Catharine, with whom he had at least six children. One was my ancestor George, another was Conrad, who is also mentioned in the will. Conrad lived in nearby Somerset County.

Johannes was born in Durlach, Baden, Germany in 1729, and left there for PA in 1753. He settled in Moore Township, Northampton Co., PA and lived there until about 1788 or 1789, moving on to Fayette Co. He was a soldier in the Revolution, serving with the Captain Shrawder's Pennsylvania Rangers.

I have done a little research in Germany to find Johannes parents and immediate family. There is actually quite a bit of interesting information that I could share with you if you're interested.
