Hello again Marg. and thanks for your message. My grandmother was Ellen Elizabeth Knopp and she came to Australia in 1922 after her husband Wliilam Goode was killed in WW1. One of her brothers (Harry Knopp) went to Canada as a "Home Child", but the remaining siblings stayed in England. I keep in touch with some of their descendents and see them occasionally when I get the chance to travel over there.
I don't know any of the descendents of James, other than your William b 1799. My William according to Sue, was baptised on 12 May 1799 at Chadwell St Mary and his parents were Isaac and Ann. Its a pity William is such a common name isn't it.
My e-mail address is mostyn@fhills.hotkey.net.au, hope you eventually find the book Fred has. Maybe he could make a copy of it for you. Interesting to hear of your Mum's cousin in Mitcham; which is just around the corner from where I live. Small world.

All the best for 2004,

Bruce
