I am thrilled to find this name added to the GenForum!
I am descended of Hans Jurg3 (Christian2, Leonhardt1)b. 22 Apr 1726 in Rietenau, Germany, who m. 21 Apr 1750 in Niederhofen, Germany to Maria Elisabetha, dau. of Christian Heussler and Eva Elisabetha; Hans Jurg, his wife Maria, her parents and his brother, Andreas immigrated to America on the ship Osgood, 19 Sep 1750. He settled in Heidelberg/Lowhill Twp., Dauphin/Lancaster Twp., Pennsylvania. He was on the muster rolls in 1778 of Lowhill Twp.
His son, Johann Peter is said to have been in The Revolution under George Washington.
My line continues through Peter's son, George Knedler, who moved to Fayette Co., Ohio;
his son, Alfred,
then Robert Henry, who moved to Davis Co., Iowa;
his son Claude Alva,
then my mother, Audrey Beth Knedler.
I look forward to sharing this line with my Knoedler/Knodler/Knedler/Kneedler "cousins"!!!
