Christina Varenbuehler Knittel

Greetings Russian-German Knittel Family:

It appears that Christina Varenbuehler (also spelled Fahrenbuehler) who married our Johann Knittel (b. 1791) was the daughter of Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Varenbuehler, a doctor, who was born 15 Mar 1763 in Neusatdt, Wuerttemberg, Germany. In the Neustadt church records it states that he emigrated to Russia in 1804. This ties into the George Knittel History in which George Knittel (b. 1855) said that "his grandmother was the daughter of a German country doctor near Stuttgart." Neusatdt is very close to Stuttgart. George said his grandmother was Dorothea Mueller but it should be Christina Varenbuehler who died in 1852 prior to George's birth in 1855. Another mistery solved and the puzzle goes on!
