Hi Dawn,

I was looking for some genealogy on my family to help my son with a school project and I came across your post. Perry Knisely was my grandfather and my dad was Charles. Charles was about 17 years younger than Hazel, Perry's oldest child - as a matter of fact Hazel's son Glen was my dad's best man when he and my mom eloped to Baltimore. Hazel married Russel Witmer(a butcher) and they had 4 boys (I think). Spurgeon married Lucille and they had Carolyn and Darrel (both of whom are married but have no children). My dad, Charles married Hattie Miller and they had 6 kids: Nancy, Charles, Jr, Mark, Linda, Virginia, and David. Nancy is Married to Gordon R. Bailey and they have two daughters, Deborah and Laura. Charles Jr. Is married to Karin Wegner and they have three children, Katrina, Carleton and Bryan. Mark is married to Dolores Weller and they have three children, Christopher, Mark, Jr and Melissa. The other three are not married. I have one son, Matthew Charles Knisely b.03.14.2000, who was concieved with donor sperm. Virginia has four children with Selwin Durham: Breanna, William, Alexander and Emily. David has no children.

All of Perry's children are deceased - Spurgeon was the last one and he died several years ago. My dad was the first of Perry's children to die and he died in 1978 and is buried in the Windsor Cemetery in the same plot as Ida and Perry. Spurgeon and his wife are also buried in that cemetery.

How are you connected to Perry and Ida?
