I have been writing back and forth with another Nicely and she sent me this information.

It looks like Lillie married a Abe Harley. The marriage prob. happened abt. 1918. I found Lillie and Abraham in the 1920 & 1930 census of Gas City, Grant Co. Indiana.

1920 - Gas City Grant Co. IN
Abraham Harley, 33, born Pa
Lillie, 23 born Ky
Charles Nicely, 16 stepson, born, IN
Iola Nicely, 16, stepdaughter, born, IN
Thelma, 6 stepdaughter, born, IN
Everett Harley, 1 2/12

1930- Gas City, Grant Co. IN
Abe Harley, 43
Lillie, 42
Evertt, 11
Eugene, 9
Lawrence, 4
Thelma Nieslsy, 16 step dau

Also in the 1920 Census in Grant Co. Indiana
Delbert age 12 and Robert Niesley age 7 are inmates in the Grant County Orphan Home.

In 1930 in Grant Co.Marion Twp. IN
There is a Reba Niesley, 22 yrs born abt. 1908 in another house she is a laborer in a factory.

I found 3 births for Clem and Lillie Bell Nicley in Madison County, IN
male was born, 9 Jan, 1906
female was born 9 July, 1906
male was born 9 Jan, 1907
I found this very odd that 2 children were born in the same year. If this was possible the child must have been born early. With them being born that year I looked in the census and their not listed.
I couldn't find Clem or Lillie in any 1900 or 1910 census.
I did find where Charles Nicely married Mary Howard in Grant Co. April, 15, 1922.
I found a WW1 Draft Reg. Card for Abraham Everett Harley b. 26 March 1886 in Pa. He was 33 when he enlisted and had blue eyes, brown hair, short and medium build. He worked for a Glass Co. and had a sister Annie Harley who was listed as living relative she lived in what looks like Philadelphia, Pa. I also show Abraham E. Harley married to a Geneva Kiser, Aug 5, 1916 in Grant Co. She must have died.
I'm not sure what happened to Clem and Lillie and why I can't find them in the census. Maybe they were on the move or could have just got missed. My guess is Clem has another name he went by. Do you have any dates for him ?his birth date? also do you have birth dates for each of their children and know where they were born what county? You have that Clem and Lillie married in Ky, do you know what county they married in?
If you have more information, I could try to help a little more. I'm not sure if they are related to my Nicely's but I don't mind helping you out, since I'm digging for the same name anyway. One thing i did notice is the drastic change in the spelling, this is what makes it very difficult to look for.
I believe my great grandfathers name was Robert Clemeth Nicely but am not 100% sure. I found some information on the web that Lillie married 3 times Robert Nicely, Abraham Harley and William Butler. The marriage between Robert Clemeth Nicely and Lillie Belle Preston according to a site I read happened on the 3rd of October 1886 in Kentucky it didn't have a county written down.
I really do appreciate all the work you guys and gals are putting in to this and am sorry that my line got to be so disturbed as far as the surname is concerned. Thank All of You for your time! Jason
