Our Canipe line comes from Germany. A man named Heinrich. His son came into Pittsburg PA on a ship called the Ranier in 1749. Listed as a Knipe. He came to Rowan County, NC, showed up there on the 1790 Census. He served in the Revolution in Pennsylvania. Does anyone have facts and supporting evidence of this line?
