Meredith Knighten, Malinda, and Virginia

O.K. Like it or not, here it is. Meredith was married only once. His wife, Malinda was having his children at the same time that his "friend", Virginia Frazier was also having his children. He eventually divorced Malinda, but it wasn't to remarry and start a new family. So, those of us who have Benjamin and Ida Jane as grandparents have a very interesting lineage. Meredith and Virginia sired Andrew who sired Benjamin. Meredith and Malinda sired Joseph Conrad who sired Ida Jane. Ida Jane Knighten and Benjamin Knighten got married.

On Benjamin's side of the family, our heritage is with Meredith and Virginia. On Ida's side, our heritage is with Meredith and Malinda.

One thing is for sure, WE ARE KNIGHTENS.
