In the ongoing saga...my informant now says he was in error in stating that Jesse Knighten was a Loyalist before serving as a captain in the Patriot cause and fighting with the NC militia under Gen Rutherford at THE BATTLE OF THE BRICK HOUSE near Wilmington. Can anyone shed any light on that battle>
