Brig. Gen. Culver Channing Sniffen, N.Y.

Does anyone have a connection to Brig. Gen. Culver Channing Sniffen b.1844 in N.Y.City to John Sniffen and Margaret Thompson? His father was the Pres.of the Long Island Bank and he had an illustrious Army career. He was on Grant's staff in the White House and Paymaster General of the Army. He died in 1930 and is buried in Arlington Cemetery. His obituary mentions a nephew, Culver Channing Sniffen of Brooklyn and a niece Ruth W. Wardell and says he was a member of the Sons of the American Rev., the Soc.of Foreign Wars and the Empire State Soc. Any help would be appreciated. Marti
