I am trying to locate my Knettle/Ellsworth ancestors. My grandfather is John Justin Ellsworth. He had a sister named Mary Ellsworth who lived in Warren (I believe), worked at the MSU Museum in East Lansing for a long time, and died in 1987. She was never married. Their parents are Arthur E. Ellsworth and Cora Knettle. I don't know who Arthur's parents are, but Cora's parents are Henry C. Knettle and Mary B. Knettle. They also had a daughter named Louise H Knettle. I don't have any other information, and any help would be appreciated. Actually, my grandfather lives in Ann Arbor (born in 1921), and the 1920 census shows that they lived in Pontiac Ward 2, Oakland, Michigan. Thanks!
