His parents were Charles Knell & Susannah Cork who married at Brenchley25/11/1778.
Charles was baptised at Wateringbury 18/12/1758 son of Thomas Knell & Catherine Johnson who married at Rochester Cathedral 20/10/1749.
The following children appear on the Wateringbury parish records, where Charles & Susannah appear to have moved after the birth of John Corke Knell
