Emma Kneeshaw was my great grandmother. Her father Matthew Kneeshaw married Margaret Bowes who died when Emma was only 6 months old. I know that Emma went to live with relatives, possibly her aunt, Matthew,s sister , who was the landlady of a pub in Middleton, Pickering. I think her married name was Gregory. She returned to her father when he remarried, but his second wife also died after a few years. There were no other children.

Emma later married my great grandfather, William Beaver of Pickering and had several children, including my grandmother Rachel who was born in 1888. I can fill in a few dates if you let me know what you need and how you are connected to Emma.
