Good news, bud-- I think I have all the info that you're looking for. The name John Albert throws me, but regarding another of your postings, 3 of the brothers, including OUR Benedict, brother Wendlin, & youngest brother John came to America about 1852. The story that I've always heard was that they were the youngest, & in Germany in those days, the oldest son(s) were in line to inherit everything while the younger son(s) were to go into the German Army. At any rate, my knowledge of their parents is limited & their older brother(s) or any sisters is non existent. Parents:
George Kneer (b. –d. )
-lived & died in province of Wurtemberg, Nordlingen, Germany
-3 of youngest brothers immigrated to Chicago
-married Magdalena “Lena” – (b. –d. )
Just FYI, my line is Joseph Francis Kneer, while you are with his brother George W Kneer. At any rate, let's be in touch. I'd be more than willing to send you what I have. Keep me posted. Look forward to talking w/ you further.
