Hi Linda,
"Bartholomew KNEELAND of Waterbury, Washington Co., Vermont, volunteered to go to Plattsburgh [NY], September, 1814, and served 11 days in Capt. George Atkin's Company, 4 Regt. [Peck's]."

Source is "State of Vermont" ROSTER of SOLDIERS in the WAR of 1812-14", prepared and published under the direction of Herbert T. Johnson, The Adjutant General, 1933, page 258.

Sorry, I do not know if this soldier is related to your Ruth KNEELAND of NH. This is not my ancestor; military data is all that I have. Jan
