I have "Seven Centuries" to hand for a few days, so I may as well attempt to answer the original questions.

1. "Seven Centuries," pp. 48, 135-6, does *not* give a specific date of death for Edward Kneeland Sr. It is fair to say that Stillman did not originate the error that has been observed in the Pedigree Resource file. He does make it clear, though, that Edward Jr.'s birth is known only from estimates that place it in the range of 1640-44.

2. John Kneeland (1632-1691) is indeed supposed to be the son of John Kneeland and Mary Stewart. The elder John, in turn, is supposed to be the brother of Edward Sr. ("Seven Centuries," 48-9) Apparently, however, neither the alleged will nor the alleged parentage, nor even the alleged brother Bartholomew Kneeland (who was, after all, known only from the will) can now be documented.
