Searching for the family of my 2nd Great GrandMother Amilia Knas b.1851 Switzerland d.1893 Iowa.
A sad story she was brout to America at the age of 4 after the death of her mother and a year later here Father passed away. Apparently he knew he was dying as a goldsmith or merchant was wealthy enough to leave money with a family member or close family freind to care for her in Illinois.She married John W. Pembrook 9 Jun 1870 in Ottawa, La Salle, Illinois. Does anyone have any imformation that might help me. I would greatly appreciate it.
