Currently at the Museum of American Folk Art in New York there is on display a Centennial Quilt attributed to "possibly" Gertrude Knappenberger, "possibly" of Emmaus, Lehigh County, ca. 1876. The name "Knappenberger" is part of the design and is quite beautiful to see.
I am not a member of this family but thought some members who were might want to go down to look at the quilt.
