Tina, HI, and thank you so much for replying to my message.Now i know where to look for them in 1860.I ordered the film for Tompkins, N.Y. for 1860 and couldn't find them in that county so was wondering where to look next.Do you have much information on that family.I would enjoy exchanging information with you.I have several pages of info on that family in the later part of 1800's and beyond.About Sarah Louw/Lowe's parents, I have one record that states her father is John Tower but i am dubious about that because all other records show her as Sarah Louw.Here are her death records.I have much more documentation of the birth death and marriage records.You can write to me at [email protected]

KNAPP, SARAH JANE (LOUW) 87 years 10 months and 2 days of age.Born May 3, 1837 in Groton, Tomkins County, New York.She married NATHANIAL KNAPP of Groton, New York in 1857.Came to Michigan at 6 years of age settling in Ferry Township.She died March 5, 1925 at home of her daughter Mrs. Ira Tillottson in Shelby.Sarah leaves 5 children:Mrs. Louisa Shipman of Detroit, Giles and Charley Knapp of Hesperia, Mrs. Anna Tillottson and Warren Knapp of Shelby…burial at Hope Cemetery.
