Yes, They were very musical indeed!!! Most of the Knaggs's were Farmers, Carpenters/Wood carvers, Engineers/mechanics by trade (by day) & most were gifted musicians at heart (by night). Apparently William Jr. (& other family members) manufactured violins; William Knaggs Sr's youngest son, James (my G-G-Grand), was reknown in later years as "the old violinist"...Except to work, eat, & sometimes sleep...he could barely ever be persueded to put that instrument down-It was his passion! James's eldest son, James Peacock Knaggs, also played violin, piano, & sang...He also married a gifted pianist-and they both taught music. James & Hannah's youngest daughter, Sarah Knaggs, was a reknown singer among many churches & local communities; and their sons Thomas & William John-played Brass instruments like the tuba & horn...Billy (William John)Knaggs was a member of the Meaford Band, and they often played in community concerts...at Collingwood, etc....And that's just a bit of what I've found so far....I've no doubt there's much, much more-I would so love to see that article! Thank You!
