I'm from some of the "other" Cook County Kluges. My mother used to visit a very elderly Marie Kluge who maintained a home close to downtown Chicago throughout the 1980's. My understanding is that Karl Kluge (b. 1835 d.1882) came to the U.S. from Opeln (Germany/Poland) sometime in mid-1800s. I think Marie was a Kluge by marriage.
