Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I have the 1880 U.S. Census for Adam, Mary and Henry H. (their son) and their address is listed as 673 Astor Street. Adam's occupation is listed as Carpenter & Joiner. His son, Henry, is a teller at a bank. They must have been fairly well off since they has a servant living with them. Do you have a copy of this census? If not, would you like me to mail you one?
The Klous/Clouse family of Shullsburg, Lafayette, Wisconsin were all carpenters from the father to at least two of the sons. I just recently learned of their existence. I don't have any information beyond the father, Henry Clouse, who was born in Hesse, Germany.
Do you know whether Heinrich Kloes and Margaret Wagner had any other children?
