Hello. I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you.
I spoke with my dad about William and Lassie Klitzkie. His grandfather was Bill's younger brother (Erving). My dad tells me that Lassie was not Bill's first wife...he'd had a few before her but Dad doesn't remember their names. He met their daughter Valerie when she was approx. 16 yrs. old and my dad was about 6 at that time. He says that he seems to recall that both Bill and Lassie had kids from previous marriages but he doesn't remember them. This was a large family and the age gaps could be considerable. Lassie came "from somewhere down South". He also said that they lived near Milton, WI on the way to Janesville. He's sure there were other kids but he can't remember their names and having been so young himself at the time, he probably never paid attention.
Bill Klitzkie was a Jr. He was the son of William and Mary (Foreman) Klitzkie. His father raised horses, among other things. Bill had two younger brothers, Howard and Erving.....and then one sister much younger, Bessie. I remember her well. She had a daughter named Margie that lived in the area.
I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help to you. I do know bits and pieces but my two great uncles, Bill and Howard, passed away before my time. Let me know if I can be of any further help, maybe I can pick my dad's brain some more. Debbie
