Frederick Klimek or Klink?
Posted by: Sandra Rogers Date: July 02, 1999 at 15:35:22

I am looking for any information that might be available about my grandfather. All that I know about him is that he came from Germany, and when he did his name got changed to Klimek. However, he had uncles and other relatives that changed the name to Klink. I do not know the original name, or any other information about when he arrived or where he came from. He died in approximately 1919, in Cleveland Ohio, during an influenza epidemic. He was staying with an uncle whose name was Klink at the time he became sick. He had married Emma Heffler and they had two sons - Kenneth and Lester (my dad). Frederick died when my dad was a small infant, after leaving their home in Winburne, PA to look for work in Cleveland. He had died before my grandmother could be notified and travel to be with him.

Does anyone have any knowledge at all of any of the people I have mentioned? Any help at all would be appreciated.
