Hi Nora and Doug,

Great message, thanks. I know a bit of Clackmannanshire as I was a policeman in Stirling and Clackmannan Police for a while.

You asked about Bogton. It is about ten miles south of Banff and just of the edge of the County - I would guess the Parish to be either Forglen or thereabouts [1851 Census Index is Volume 1] I saw Henry and Amelia Dupont in the 1851 Census index Volume 4 living in Fordyce parish].

Judy and I fly out on 13th October and are staying for a couple of weeks. We have friends in Rochester in the States and the 'you don't know us but we're your cousins' in Brockville. We are planning to spend a few days in Toronto then drive round the Georgian Bay area too before moving on the Falls etc.

Looking forward to it all, take care and keep in touch.

Colin and Judy
