I have Klinger in my Mother's side.Looking for infor as my line is sketchy! Here goes:My great-grandmother was Josephine Theresa Hufnagle, born Heidelberg, Germany.Sent to US in 1909 with other girls for protection from Jewish persecution, her parent's money was stolen by the man charged to protect her and she was placed in a Catholic Convent.A doctor helped get her out and took her to New Albany, IN.Tracked there, she was protected again from the nuns by a Louis J. Klinger. She married him and they had four children:Julius, Lorena, Louis, and Michael (Lorena is my grandmother). They were divorced as he was a mean drunk. She remarried to man named Lapp,Family lived between New Albany and Fort Wayne as far as I can tell.Trying to track not only Klinger roots, but also Hufnagle line.Need any help!Does this information sound familiar to anything in your mother's book?
