Hi, Rich. Not sure if this will be helpful or not, but our family line has intermarrying Klingamans/Lints/Hershisers and I have a strong feeling you are connected. Henry J. Hershiser and his wife, Sarah Lint came to IA (to the Waterloo area) about 1858-60. Sarah's mother was Susannah Klingaman, so I'm sure she had Klingaman cousins, and it's likely several families came from Somerset Co, PA together to settle in IA. If you can find out from the census if yours came from PA, I'm sure they are connected to the Somerset Co., PA Klingamans. Please let me know if I can be of help. Kim
